About Rhubarb Zoo

RHUBARB ZOO is a New Zealand based animation studio with the passion to be unique, daring, and different. In a world of cookie-cutter stories and designs we’re taking a stand and putting all of our efforts into creating work that is fresh and meaningful. Rhubarb Zoo combined the willingness to tell our stories with solid art and animation skills (and a bit of that Kiwi ingenuity) to create original work for film, television, paper-based media and the internet. Dane and Jeremy met and became friends at Freelance Animation School in Auckland, New Zealand in 2004. A common love of strange music, entertaining stories and rhubarb led to many artistic collaborations alongside their three years of training. Rhubarb Zoo as a studio seemed to be the natural progression, and was officially formed during their final year in 2006.
